A Panorama of Lights

As I rode home from the airport, a panorama of fireworks greeted me. Chun Jie is still in full swing here and with it comes countless fireworks and firecrackers. Driving down the tollway, my driver cheerfully pointed out gorgeous vantage points in which I could see bright sprays of color popping up over apartment complexes, the river, and the Olympic stadium. Apartment windows were littered with red lanterns and red holiday decor, and my mind thought of American homes all decked out in their own Christmas lights just a few months ago. Chun Jie Kuai Le!
