In many ways, my summer at home was a walk down memory lane as I took in sights in St. Louis that we had frequented many times as I was growing up as well as many small town things I enjoyed along the way.
If you know me, you know that I love musicals. While growing up, we’d taken in quite a few musical tours at the Fox and the Muny. I believe the last time I’d been to the Muny was when I was in high school, which was eons ago! Despite the Midwest humidity, I had forgotten how relaxing and enjoyable it is to sit under the stars and enjoy an outdoor Broadway production in Forest Park.
While home I also enjoyed a stroll through the Missouri Botanical Gardens with my parents. The flowers were gorgeous and deliciously fragrant. Our walk made me wish I was a talented photographer so I could truly capture the beauty of the grounds.
