Beauty Queens and a Tractor Parade

In small towns, parades draw quite a crowd and really are a great place to see anyone and everyone. My parents and I took in the Clinton County fair parade several weeks ago which consisted of several beauty queens, rescue vehicles, veterans, marching bands, folks running for county and state office, and a good representation of local businesses who were dolling out a variety of candy concoctions. Though at times the monotony got a little much, it was nice to take in a little local parade to help me remember some of the benefits of growing up in a small town.
