How my students gave me more than 32 things for which to be thankful
My senior class surprises me--I saw two of the students in the hall and thought they were trying to skip class. As I went out to reprimand them, I felt "punked" when I saw the candles on top of the cake. 
My honors US lit class added to the festivities with their homemade cake (see below) and card signed by all of their classmates. Pass the Kleenex!

To quote Sally Field's famous Oscar acceptance speech, "You like me. You really like me."
