At study this past week, a friend said that she was questioning what to do with her life and seemed frustrated that at 27 she hadn’t figured it out. I thought about her question and began to consider it. Yes, the world does tell us that when we head into college, the next phase of our life, we have to have a game plan, but realistically our lives, especially our walks of faith, are constantly changing. As we are being moved and refined to be more like who we were intended to be, it would seem impossible to have “one idea” in mind. A restlessness to do something different doesn’t mean we failed to understand the “grand plan”. It simply could mean that in our growth and own growing pains, we’ve outgrown it or are being challenged to embark on a new route. I’m reminded of a line from “The Glory of It All” by the David Crowder Band.
Everything will change and we will never be the same.May we never be the same and continually seek to become more than we ever thought we could be.
