Last Saturday, on my way to run various errands, I popped in to McDonald’s for a quick lunch. Often times, I feel disengaged from the community around me, and I found myself glad to have a few moments to just sit and observe. Several kids munched on fries and inspected their Happy Meal toys while under the supervision of mom and dad. Not very different from my own experiences at McDonald’s as a young girl. I wondered if a little girl in Russia or Germany also experienced the same delights, begged her mom for a hot fudge sundae, and made the rounds of the play land before going home.

Shared Experiences
