The Little Things—Part 100

So often the smallest of things can bring a smile to my face.

Several Fridays ago, after a long week at school, I ended up at the gym when I thought I might not go. Yet, there was a surprise waiting for me on the treadmill. I noticed that ESPN was replaying Game 2 of the Cardinals-Dodgers series. The best part was that the commentary was in Mandarin. Fortunately you don’t need to understand the commentary to really understand the game. The only words I could pick up were “zhi dao” and “due”.

Saturday morning, I hailed a taxi, hopped in, and immediately smiled. Josh Turner’s “Would You Go With Me” was playing. Seriously? Country music on the radio in a taxi? Love it.
