It's taken me eight months to work up the courage to get my hair highlighted. Hmmm, I think the experience could be my first and last color experience at the hair salon. Lessons learned this past Thursday:
1. Sometimes a picture and a translation guide are NOT enough.
2. Never assume that the stylist, who speaks a different language than you do, understands what you are trying to communicate.
3. Even though you might not understand the language, it is a fairly universal feeling to know when people are talking about you.
4. Here, "hong se" means "red"...Kool Aid red. :)
